'Net ideas
An interesting piece on what software developers should be working on, and what the author would be willing to pay for them. Really don't like number two onhis list - we all know that using Office et al online pay-as-you-go is the future, but it really does not appeal to me - I want to use my software when I want, how I want with no hidden or additional charges, but there you go. Still, there are some interesting ideas here... 10 Sites We'd All Pay to Use (I Bet)
Headline No.1
First in an occaisional series. Headlines that would mean absolutely nothing to anyone just waking from a 30 year coma. Red Hat joins $100 laptop project
Google Graph
Not as elegant as the CNET news browser perhaps, but one of the most awesome tools on the internet - see all the connections between websites and see where your real traffic comes from Touch Graph

Nano headphones
I can't stand earbud headphones. That's probably why I've managed without an iPod all this time. I know you can jack anything into them, but that seems just too much much to get broken as they're chucked in a bag or whatever. These headphones may solve the problem, but seriously how stupid would you look?
Be an executive producer for a tenner!
Ingenious plan from Vertigo films - the guys that did Human Traffic and Football Factory - give them ten squids and your name appears on the DVD credits of their new film! Give 'em 100 squid and you get to be an extra! Plus you get to help shape the film and you get free stuff! Its like they know you'll buy the DVD to see your name on it so they're actually guaranteeing more than just the initial outlay. Check out Outlaw for more info...
Get rich slow scheme
A Canadian bloke has set up a website, One Dollar Empire, where he plans to turn $1 into a million in the nexst 6.5 years. He's only just started at the start of the year, yet he's already up to $20.50! Its no One Red Paperclip but you never know it might get interesting...

No more Blackadder

Furniture
Ok so furniture is seldom of interest to me, but I chanced upon the best cabinets I've ever seen just now. You can buy, for around a grand, furniture in the shape of any letter you want. So if you stick a few of these giant creations together, you can make enormous signs!
LED floors
You can now get pressure-sensitive flashing dancefloors that adjust according to a clubber's movements and/or the TUNES being pumped through the sound system. I want some.
Powerpoint Karaoke
Awesome new game! search for 'ppt' and a random keyword in Google, then talk about them! As explained here
TV Commercials
This blog claims to be all about TV commercials, but some how its scope has been limited to solely commercials featuring hot women. There's screen grabs, downloads and precious little writing, but its nice to see some international spots.
